Aspiring Sports Producer
My name is Sara Perlowitz and I am a student at Penn State University. I will be graduating in May with a degree in Broadcast Journalism with a focus in sports, as well as a minor in Business. I am also receiving a certificate with the John Curley Center for Sports Journalism.
Since August 2018, I have worked with the Centre County Report to help produce live 30-minute, weekly newscasts. I was a producer and a reporter during the fall semester, and I am currently an executive producer.
At school, I am involved with several different organizations. I am the treasurer for the Association for Women in Sports Media (AWSM) and an executive producer for Penn State Sports Night, which is the sports show on Penn State Network Television.
In addition to those, I work with Intercollegiate Athletics in their video production department and assist with the Big Ten Network StudentU productions. I am also a sports reporter for the Daily Collegian, and cover the Penn State wrestling team.
Although I'm from New Jersey, my favorite teams are the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pittsburgh Penguins, so I love wearing my black and gold.
